Hi! Welcome to my first post on Crossfit.
1. You will quickly discover that I am not an English major
2. I do not have a lot of time to blog so this will be short & sweet.
3. Every body is different so what works for me may not work for you but I guarantee if you get off your bootie, stop eating garbage and drink lots of water you will see/feel a difference.
I’d like to say that I began CrossFit because I was 20 lbs over what I felt was my ideal weight and I had a roll beginning on my belly…not going to mention the width of my butt. But, that is not why. I was okay with my body I felt good, I was working hard to build my company, busy, busy, busy!
In 2010 I heard about Crossfit through one of my students parents who said that my AASRT(Age Appropriate Sports Readiness Training) curricula for Tumblin4Kids was similar to CrossFit Kids. What? Competition? Who is this new kid on the block? And then I met Mitch Potterf.
Mitch Potterf and his band of coaches transformed my entire life and the ripple effects keep billowing outward to my husband, daughters, brother, cousins, friends…. you. I admit my first CrossFit workout left me on the floor, humbled in a pool of sweat & this still happens. In the beginning I could not do a pull up, a real push up, run any distance…I was in bad shape and weak. As the founder of Tumblin4Kids Mobile Gym I was disappointed in myself and even though I was scared (practically) to death I returned for another WOD (workout of the day). I enjoyed the workouts because they were hard and challenged me.
So, I began particpating in CrossFit out of curiosity – what about you? What type of exercise do you enjoy?
